RULES:
Once you've been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 25 people to be tagged. You have to tag the person who tagged you.
To do this, go to "notes" under tabs on your profile page, paste these instructions in the body of the note, type your 25 random things, tag 25 people (in the right hand corner of the app) then click publish.
1. I'm nocturnal, but you probably know that already :) Let's just say I have DSPS to simplify things.
2. Shopping, relaxing body massage, karaoke, hot bath, coffee with friends. Those are my secrets of enjoying life :)
3. I like big happening cities and I love to find myself "lost" in the busy-ness of the city. And I need a big city that never sleeps, coz I'm a nocturnal gal ^^
4. I don't like listening to music using a headphone (that is, coming from an iPod and the like). Music is meant to be heard as an ambience or live. No fun listening by myself. So I usually listen to music on my MacBook Pro or iMac, while working/browsing/etc :D
5. I love traveling (that's not news, I know). I'm lucky that my parents love traveling with passion, hence they have brought me everywhere since I was in elementary. I literally live to travel! ^^
6. I've been in the wedding business for about 8 years. And after being to hundreds (oh yes!) of weddings, I really had enough of receptions. So in general, I won't come to a wedding reception (except for work or my close friend's weddings) unless I really have to. I prefer to attend the ceremony, if they have one.
7. I love the internet too much. I have zillion of email accounts, jillion of websites (including blogs & the like), and registered in gazillion of web services (mostly to secure my username). I only use & maintain a fraction of them and forget the rest, actually :P
8. I love tea, especially green tea. I love coffee, but I'm not addicted to it. I hate milk, especially because I'm lactose intolerant. Milk never agrees with my stomach. I like my tea bitter, and my coffee black. I don't like sweets. I love chocolate, but only the dark (bitter) ones.
9. My mom got me into classical music (and forced me to take piano lessons since I was 5 years old!). I still love the classical music and watching orchestra (that's why I love Nodame Cantabile *cough cough*). My friend in college got me into jazz, and I'm hooked ever since. Classical & jazz, the perfect music combination!
10. People always say that it's nice to be me, because I'm always thin, so I don't have to worry about what I eat and how much I eat. Yes, I do eat a lot, and I don't really watch what I eat. What they don't really know is: I'm naturally picky with food; I don't really like many kinds of food. Apparently, my body knows what's best for me and what's not. I don't eat (and don't like) intestines, pork, lamb, etc.
Oh! I chew my food longer than many people. That's probably how I stay slim.
11. I can multitask very well. Like, talking to someone, while also listening to another conversation beside us :P Or even better: talking on the phone with a friend, while also conversing with mom beside me, and chatting with 3 online friends xD
12. Contrary to what people thought of me being a long time internet user and thus I have a very active online life, I strict my privacy in FB to a large extent. Facebook is like a stalkbook to me. I don't like the idea of 1,000+ of friends, acquaintances, and strangers stalking/tracking me to the slightest details of whatever I'm doing online!
I kinda miss the old FB days, when it's still an exclusive social network & you can only sign up using university email address. And NO news feed in those days!
I so want an anti-social network, and definitely not a stalkbook! ( ̄へ ̄)
13. I'm not that good with replying to emails, messages, and phonecalls. But I try my best to reply, even if it's only short, because I appreciate the feeling & effort of those who email/message/call me. The key for any relationship in general to work relies greatly in these little things & efforts, and must not be one-sided :)
14. I value trust, honesty, and the truth above a lot of things! I believe that any relationship (including friendship) is based on trust and honesty.
These are my favorite quotes on the TRUTH:
“When you tell a lie, you steal someone’s right to the truth.” — The Kite Runner
"Three things cannot be long hidden: the sun, the moon, and the truth." — Buddha
"Just because you didn’t speak the facts out loud didn’t erase their existence. Silence was just a quieter way to lie." — Jodi Picoult
In my experience, sooner or later the truth will always come to me, through one way or another :)
15. I'm a fake Chinese :P I can't speak Mandarin (and I don't like it, albeit learning it for a year), and I prefer Japanese language & culture instead ^^
16. My favorite chocolate brands: Leonidas, Perugina, La Maison du Chocolat, Valrhona, Royce.
17. I really hate it when people misspelled & mispronounced my name to "elsye"! O_O
18. I used to dance when I was in elementary: ballet, Balinese dance, and modern dance.
19. My favorite colors are red, black, white, and silver.
20. My 1994 summer school at Beechwood Sacred Heart, Tunbridge Wells, UK is one of the happiest time in my life! And I'm so happy I found my two old friends from then on FB *waves*
21. I still wish Penn State would offer permanent .edu email address for alumni! Most other universities already did so! ~_~
22. Up to now, I've always gotten my supply of Laura Mercier foundation powder, Clinique almost lipstick in black honey, and Bath & Body Works body splash in country apple from the US. One way or another, I always manage to stock 'em up! :D
23. Japan is my top vacation spot. I love going to Europe as well, but my ichiban holiday destination is still Japan! France is number two.
24. I have a secret online crush with a very humble, warm, and multi-talented person! ♥ (and no, he doesn't - and will never - know)
25. I google everything. I use Wikipedia & Wiktionary extensively. That's how I keep in touch with the unknown.
Done! Don't forget to tag me in your notes ~~♪
This thing has gotten so popular that it even appears in New York Times! :O
