Twitter has always been my first source of news. Of Indonesia, of the world, of anything.
Twitter has beaten the media in delivering firsthand news of this morning's bombs in Ritz Carlton & JW Marriott at Mega Kuningan, Jakarta.
And because I had been following the news closely via Twitter (I didn't even see MetroTV for once! Coz I got all the updates from Twitter!), I didn't sleep at all last night. I finally collapsed to bed this afternoon and I've become a true batgirl *lol*
News about Jakarta bombings today, July 17th:
- Daniel Tumiwa was there when the bombs exploded. So his tweet was the breaking news that beat the media!
- Andre Siregar was staying at Ritz Carlton hotel and thus posted the first picture of the bomb aftermath.
- CNN coverage & BBC news, among others.
- Plis Deh Jakarta has a lot of coverage from various media sources (national & international).

- Voice of America: World leaders condemn Jakarta hotel attacks.
